Healthy Walk
So the weather is sort of up and down at the moment, one day it's 80 and then the next it is 32. Okay 32 isn't miserable to most people living up north but for Florida that is pretty cold, plus downtown is on the river so it does get pretty breezy, but I've decided to start taking a healthy walk at lunch.
Top 10 Reasons to Walk (from Walk the Weight Away by RoseMarie Alfieri & Andrew Flach)
1) It's the most natural way to exercise.
2) Best starting point, even if you have never exercised, you'll be able to walk.
3) It doesn't cost anything.
4) Your walk time is for you to enjoy. You can mediate, listen to your fave music, or solve problems - whatever keeps you walking!
5) You can walk alone or with family and friends. (Okay alone if you are in a safe neighborhood)
6) It's safe, the possibility of injury is slim.
7) You can gradually build your fitness level.
8) Promotes overall wellness, which is nice knowing that you're doing something good for yourself.
9) Improves muscle tone - especially the butt and hips.
10) You can do it anywhere - home, work, on vacation, etc.
Plus --- Vitamin D! I am looking forwarded to getting a little sun.
So starting Monday...I plan to take a stroll up and down the Riverwalk. It'll be nice to get out of the office and enjoy some fresh air and sun.
