So during my fabulous birthday shopping spree, I stopped in at Sephora.  Did I need anything?  No.  I just wanted my birthday gift. But I looked around ... I came across clearance bins!  YAY!  I found a whole bin full of nail effects.  The bill was clearly marked $5 so I dug through the bin looking for a pattern I would like.  I thought $5 why not plus when I found these ...  I was sold black with white polka dots - heavenly! Since I looked at almost each one in that container I knew there was more than one of these patterns in that box therefore yay legit clearance item!  So I thought, I got up to the counter and it rang up $9. I wonder what possesses people to think they need EVERY SINGLE ONE?  Seriously google "lip butter" and see how many arms out there with the entire collection on them you find!!  I can understand trying a new product and loving it and reviewing it on your blog.  We all do it - it's great.  But do you seriously need every single shade that product comes in?  Is it me or do they have numerous shades for different skin color combinations - not for you to actually own each one!  It's just such a waste of money.  I own ONE of these and barely use that one - I can't see having the entire collection sitting around in my bathroom.   I am not innocent in this rant.  As you can see, I have this box full of beauty box stuff.  I wonder - why do I keep getting these boxes?  Obviously I am not using it - why keep getting it - the fear of missing out?  What if the ne...

So I heard on the radio, a news story about a woman suing her ex-fiancé because he cheated on her at his bachelor party, so she is suing him for all the money she spent on wedding items, planning the ceremony and honeymoon.  The topic then lead to women giving men a last whore-rah (brilliantly funny..I know).  I'm not an expert, but I am thinking that if you need to give your man a last time to go out and hook up then your marriage isn't really built on the foundation of what it should be.  Being recently engaged (YAY), if I had to give Paul...one more time to go out and hook up...I would say SEE YA  {P.S. So I am totally convinced that my mailman is living it up with my free Starbucks coupons and my monthly magazines.  I swear I haven't gotten a free drink postcard for like my last 3 rewards for Starbucks...plus I should have a free birthday drink post card and I have received NADA!  Also it is now January 21st and I haven't received February issues of my monthly magazines.  What is up with this.  I feel like I am constantly missing these same items month to month.  I hope you are enjoying my Starbucks while reading my magazines MAILMAN (or WOMAN).  Okay just to prove my point I am going to go check the mail....we shall see...

So I have decided to stop going to Chick-fil-a.  I mean I really don't eat there often but the off chance of maybe thinking about it I will just say no.  There are two reasons for this  1) STYROFOAM!!!  They use styrofoam and apparently have no problems with it.  I just don't understand a company that is going to say they take a stance on being closed on Sundays but keep dumping tons of styrofoam into the landfills.  Styrofoam can not be recycled and it does not breakdown like other sorts of trash so basically every single Chick-fil-a cup will sit in a landfill FOREVER! 2) SODIUM!!!!  The food Chick-fil-a serves is LOADED with sodium.  I ran some numbers for you to see how bad...a "classic"  chicken sandwich from Chick-fil-a (that they are "known for") has 1410mg of sodium!  2500 is your recommended daily intake.  You can eat the knock off sandwich at McDonalds ( Southern Style Chicken Sandwich ) for 1030mg of sodium! ...

Let me just say that this post might hurt some feelings but I just have to say that what I am about to tell you is the sad truth because so many women in the world have abused these "fashions" so now no one can wear them. #1 Boots.... Okay so if you look at this picture and think...what is wrong with these?  I am here to tell you.  Let me just set the scene....slightly cool day in Jacksonville....an older (like grandma status) office lady wearing THESE with Bermuda shorts,  black nylons (her boots were slightly lower than shown above), flowly top, peacoat jacket and 80s white girl fro...full on poofy bangs and the sides pulled and sprayed straight out ....yes all of this was her work wear.  This folks is why these boots are a NO .  No matter who I see wearing these (majority of these women are at work) it just never seems appropriate.  Yet you see women on tv/movies wearing them all the time....so how is it that everyone I see just looks like a da...

This is exactly how I felt this morning when I heard on the radio that "studies" show that the oil spill in the Gulf isn't as bad as they thought it would be. Really?!? I'm supposed to believe that the Gulf spill wasn't "that bad"? Here's another saying...that is sooo funny I almost forgot to laugh! This dear readers is why I hate the media. They will tell the public ANYTHING and most people JUST BELIEVE IT! I mean the NEWS said it so it's gotta be TRUE...right? Um NO! TGIF!!! Friday is FINALLY here! My boss is out until 1:00! The only way today would get any better was if I got to go home early...wouldn't that be the icing on the cake?
