Downton Abbey is one of my favorite shows and Joanne Froggatt plays one of my favorite characters.  Congrats to hear on her Golden Globe! Do you watch Downton and who's your favorite character? 

I know this is old news but I just had to point out my Oscar best dressed (even though I never watch the Oscars and get ticked off when my shows are on repeat because of them). Kate Blanchett I just love her ... she's always so beautiful at the award shows. I love her pale milky skin.  My sister Nicole is blessed with this skin. Matthew McConnaughey I am not usually one to have a Hollywood crush. However, right now I am just loving McConnaughey in True Detective! Also, props to him for boucing back ... he's been overly skinny and kinda trashy looking for awhile. Who's look did you love?

I just love Christina Hendrix and I always list her character Joan on Mad Men as my fave. Love this outfit but um ... Lucky ... where did her girls go? They are big girls and here she looks a tad flat chested.   Photoshop busted! Now Mad Men - give her more of a story line this season!!

Instyle Look of the Day February 4, 2013 Kerry Washington WHAT SHE WORE Kerry Washington  wowed in a lace and brocade  Oscar de la Renta  gown, pastel  Kotur  clutch and nude  Jimmy Choo  pumps at the NAACP Image Awards. WHY WE LOVE IT The color palette screams, "We're ready for spring!" while the rich, textured fabrics make it undeniably red-carpet-worthy. I think she is absolutely gorgeous and hello that dress ... AMAZING!  Loving the mint and the blush pink combo!  Def a must for spring!  Also, I just adore nude heels.  I don't currently own a pair but they are a must own staple ... am I right?  Anyone own some nude heels that you could reccommend?  I never find a pair that are just right. Thank you all for all your support to my big announcement! I'm beyond words at this point to describe how happy I am! Hope you are all having a fab Tuesday!

Instyle - Look of the Day Jennifer Lawrence WHAT SHE WORE At Chateau Marmont,  Lawrence  worked her curves in a blue sheath and added a metallic clutch and patent leather peep-toes. Not only do I love this dress - the color is stunning! I love a soft vivid blue with paler skin ... I think it reminds me of Snow White ... I know weird but something about the blue against winter skin just makes it sing. What is your go to winter color?

Instyle Look of the Day CAMERON DIAZ I love this dress ... the black and the nude look great together.   She is gorgeous! Saturday night I watched Bad Teacher online and I absolutely love her in that movie.  She is beyond hilarious!  I can't really think of one movie of hers that I don't like ... hmmm ... checking IMBD ... ok I hate the Shrek movies ... but that doesn't count.  One of her other roles that I love is In her Shoes .  It is such a great sister movie.  It just shows how sisters can bang heads but really help each other grow and if ANYONE knows about banging heads with sister it is yours truly here - Love you Nicole and Debra.  If you haven't seen the movie ... WATCH IT and if you have watched the movie ... READ THE BOOK !  The book is even better! Nicole Kidman wore this My Fair Lady inspired outfit to the Melbourne Cup, a major Australian horse race, at Flemington Racecourse in her native Australia, where the entire crowd was decked out for the 2012 AAMI Victoria Derby Day.  The fab outfit featured a white lace dress with a black and white striped bow, black peep-toe heels, and a matching handbag by her favorite designer L'Wren Scott, all topped off with a dramatic hat by Stephen Jones.  "It is such a fun film and it is a fun day, and we just wanted to have some fun," Kidman told The Australian newspaper . "It's one of my favorite movies. We decided to do something that was fun and a bit different." I absolutely love her outfit.  Where better to rock the Eliza Doolittle but at a horse race.  I just hope she yelled (in a cockney accent), "Move Your Bloody Ass!"  I think the hat needed to be a bit more elaborate but hey she still rocked it. I just love Kelly Clarkson. She has such a positive attitude and look at her looking all hot! I love dress she is wearing it is from Fall 2011 Collection of Erdem. Believe me...I did research...I really wanted it until...I found it as 1) no longer available and 2) PRICEY!! Doesn't she look fab?

Snow White has always been my favorite Disney Princess...even before you had to pick sides! Not only was it the first Disney animated movie but growing up we had this 1987 Snow White movie... I've always thought Diana Rigg played the BEST evil queen! I found this movie onDemand recently and forced Paul to watch it. I still love it!! So I can't wait to see Snow White & the Huntsman. Mirror Mirror on the Wall will Charlize Theron be the  Evilest Queen of them all?? I can't wait to see! As proof of how obsessed I am with Snow White movies.... I even plan on seeing this....

Instyle - Look of the Day Madonna WHAT SHE WORE   Madonna launched her Truth or Dare fragrance in a lace Dolce & Gabbana sheath and Christian Louboutin peep-toes. WHY WE LOVE ITShe's still got it! The Material Girl looked sexy as ever in a peek-a-boo LBD. I know I've said this numerous times but Madonna looks FABULOUS!!! I think she's looking her best these days...she has def aged well and can still totally rock it! She's def made herself a legend! What do you think?  Have any of you tried her new perfume??

MTV News So the buzz/shocking news is that Anne Hathaway has cut off  all her hair for her part in Les Miserables. As gorgeous as she always is ~ she will totally rock it! Besides...it will GROW BACK!!! Can't wait to see the movie!! What do you think...is it THAT shocking??

Maybe I am officially old...but I thought Madonna rocked the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Come on ... that stage and graphics were INSANE!! At one point, Paul asked why she was moving around so slow... I said did you see those heels...I bet that stage is slippery! I will admit when she came out with Vogue...I was my 7 year old self again dancing around to her music. I went to her 1989 Who's that Girl World Tour and even my dad (who took me) said...Madonna knows how to put on a show and all these years later she is still doing it!! Instyle Jessica Chastain WHAT SHE WORE Chastain  hit the N.Y.C. premiere of  Coriolanus  in a chantilly lace  Monique Lhuillier  gown,  Jimmy Choo  platforms and  Harry Winston  diamonds. I recently spotted her in two movies ~ actually watched on the same night ~ The Help and The Debt . She was great in both! Love her!!

Rose gold  Dana Rebecca Designs  jewels, a pave  Melinda Maria  ring, a studded  Marchesa  clutch and pewter heels completed the look.  WHY WE LOVE IT Dark accessories and contoured panels gave the actress's pretty pink dress a modern edge. I love both of these actresses but I think Kristen's dress looks like an ice skating leotard and Emily's is too pale. What do you think...

Emma Watson! December 8 ~ Look of the Day ~ InStyle   WHAT SHE WORE In Hong Kong, Emma Watson enchanted the crowd in a tulle Elie Saab confection and silver Jimmy Choo sandals. WHY WE LOVE IT The face of Lancome did the label proud by amping up her airy design with high wattage lips. I love love LOVE this dress!!  Emma looks fabulous!  Don't you just love her!  

So while we were on our Fall vacation, one of the attractions we visited was Boldt Castle in Alexandra Bay, NY.   It was one of the most beautiful spaces that I have ever seen not only because of the architectural but the history behind it as well.  I thought I would share the saddest love story before showing you my pics. From Boldt Castle's website Beginning in 1900, the Boldt family spent summers in the 1000 Islands at the Boldt Families Wellesley House near Mr. Boldt’s Wellesley Island Farms while 300 workers including stonemasons, carpenters, and artists fashioned the six story, 120 room castle, complete with tunnels, a powerhouse, Italian gardens, a drawbridge, alster tower (children’s playhouse) and a dove cote.
