Which one's better ... wand or the mascara?

Wednesday, February 20, 2013

This morning as I was applying mascara, I got to thinking about the wand.  Is it the wand that makes the mascara or is it the mascara itself?  I mean mascara is mascara right ... I bet the formula is all the same so does the wand make all the difference?

Well as I've stated in the past, I hate Dior Show mascara (click HERE) but I used a different wand with it and it was a million times better ... still not my fave ... I mean switching wands is ridiculous ... right?  But paying for something and never using it ... just as bad ... am I right?

So what do you think ... is the wand the only thing that really matters?

  1. I think its the wand myself. I like Cargo's Texas lash because its very big and round and it works the best for me. i've tried those fancy skinny wands that look like combs and it took forever to see results ( like 5 coats). Screw that! I'm always on the search for the perfect mascara.

  2. Food for thought!! LOL! I never thought of that before. I def think it's the wand and the thickness of the actual mascara. And I tried to respond to you comment but you came back as a no reply comment again. Hmmmmmm. I would LOVE to help you with your closet!!

  6. The formula is important but I think mascara companies should start thinking more of versatile brushes. Because everyone has different eyes and not every Mary or Jane will have the same problem. That's why now there are mascaras in the market that are versatile wands: mac, rimmel. I hope others follow this as well.

  7. The formula with the shape and type of the wand are equally important and the point is to make them entwine and join forces together to create the best possible combination there is.
